With 4 Italian friends we see this Italian trattoria fed up with German food we enter: excellent cuisine, nothing to regret at home. Bravo Fausto!

We spent a very nice evening with an excellent meal and very good wine in an extraordinary atmosphere. The landlord even picked up the microphone for the birthday children and sang personal serenades! You won't find that a second time in Munich. Highly recommended!

Excellent. You can't get more love in the form of tagliatelle. Unless you have the tortellini, then it's love with love in it. Outstanding!

Overall good experience. :) The food was delicious, although I would have liked a larger portion of the side dishes. The tiramisu is absolutely recommendable! The open and warm approach of the waiter / owner contributed positively to the atmosphere. As a drawback, I would like to mention that our cards for ordering the dessert were not disinfected (we just got the ones from the next table that had just ordered the main course). But masks were worn and the contact details were recorded. Anyone who is acting very cautiously in the pandemic should be aware of this.

Whole 5 stars that were worth it. Old traditional Italian restaurant. The boss is very friendly and accommodating. Very cozy atmosphere with real vine plants. Fascinating to look at. Food very tasty. Homemade gnocchi as well as Gorgonzola sauce and pizza were very tasty. If you really want to eat at an Italian restaurant, this is the place for you.

My girlfriend and I went to the Trattoria da Fausto for the first time today and we had a positive impression from the start. The ambience is very nice and has an Italian flair. The restaurant is decorated with lots of green plants and lovely details such as books and floral chandeliers. We had the homemade gnocchi with gorgonzola sauce and the linguine vongole from the menu of the day and it was both very, very tasty. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right and the owner is super friendly. We can only recommend the restaurant.

Very nice, food and friendly

I reserved a table for my friend's birthday on a Saturday evening. Placement everything went perfectly. I can only definitely recommend the dishes + very large portions (see pictures). The boss provides pleasant and fun entertainment. The ambience is very nice and bright and you felt really comfortable. Until next time.

I have been a guest at the Trattoria for many years. The kitchen has always been excellent and the chef knows you personally, what more could you want. It is also worthwhile if you only have time to "eat".

Very nice restaurant with beautiful decoration. A bit pricey but worth it all things considered.

Best Italian in Munich

Simply overrated! Second time I was here but the food is nothing special, prices are super expensive, there is no service and the owner try to act like an Italian but is only rude with his customers. Never again.

Finally a REAL Italian restaurant in Munich that does not adapt the menu to the German taste. 100% authentic, very relaxing atmosphere & extremely nice service. Will definitely go again. 👌🏼 Tip: reserve a table in advance, especially on the weekend.

Heed of warning, this review only applies for the pizzas there. I had a simple Regina pizza and I was shocked about the low quality of the dough. As far as I understood it the owner is Italian and with a proud attitude. Having tasted his pizza dough he should think about getting a German citizenship instead...

Family restaurant with kind personal and friendly service

We celebrated our wedding 4 years ago at da Fausto and we keep going there to enjoy the best Italian food, environment and service. The owner treats you himself and the always delivered the best to the table. Thanks da Fausto team!

This place is beautiful! We had a very nice evening at Da Fausto. The food was sensational, the Menu was really great that it was hard to choose from, the wine selection was great and the service was really friendly and fun. The owner found out it was my birthday and the birthday song suddenly was blasting from the different speakers, he came with his microphone singing to me and offered me shots. My boyfriend and I had a blast. It feels like a family restaurant, highly recommended to go there with special ones. Enjoy!

We walked about 10mins from our hotel, Marriott, in everyday casual clothes. I felt underdressed initially because it was authentic Italian decor with table cloth and candle light, but after a while, a few others came in dressed casual as well. We called ahead about 30mins prior for a reservation about 6pm and no other customers were there. About 30mins to an hour later there was a nice sized crowd inside. I ordered a salmon pasta with lobster sauce dish, my child had spaghetti w/meat sauce, spouse has the 150g steak w/mushroom sauce. All of us enjoyed our food. The very best part for me was dessert. I ordered the tiramisu to go....oh my goodness....When I got back to the hotel, I took a bite and was instantly in heaven. Everywhere I go, I order tiramisu, all throughout the US, a few places in/near Stuttgart, Germany for years.... and I can say, though not a traditional one, this was the best one I've ever had! Oh it was so good. It didn't have the coffee/kalua taste but it didnt even matter. Even the strawberries it came with were divine and I don't normally like strawberries. Waiter spoke English. Service was good. Worth the visit.

Amazing service by Fausto. Extremely friendly and welcoming, very patient when it came to taking our orders. The pastas were all very well prepared and tasty, especially the Tortellini di Casa.

It’s a nice restaurant inside, and also some tables outside in a nice garden sheltered from the street. We had Pizza, Gnocchi, Carbonara and Lasagne. Good food. Pizza was average and I would say too much cheese and too much salt. Not one of their strengths. Carbonara was well liked by my son. Gnocchi we nice, and the Lasagne was liked by my partner. Nothing outstanding, hence an average rating.
